Change settings
Go to "Settings" in the portal
Choose "General Settings" or "Review API"
General settings
Under general settings you have the option to adjust the following:
Name
How the name of your company and/or website is displayed to your customers. Should it be "Sample Store" or "SampleStore". You can set this yourselfNotifications
Who should receive a notification when a new review arrives? And with what kind of review should such message be sent?E-mail notification with company response
Should the writer of a review be notified when you respond to his or her review?
Name
When we create an account for the website or a company, we give this account a name. We do this at all times based on what we see on the website, but because an account is also a language with us, it is possible that there are multiple accounts for the same website only in different languages. We will then create the account as follows:
Sampleshop DE (German language)
Sampleshop EN (English language)
Sampleshop NL (Dutch language)
That way it's visible in our portal which language or website you are working with, but this name is of course not desired towards your customers. That is why it is possible to change this name yourself:
Click "Use different name" enter the name you like to use and that name will be displayed and used at the following places:
Subject of the invitation from Feedback Company;
Subject of the verification email;
The review form;
The review page.
After changing the name click Save changes
The example above is based on languages, but the name can be changed for each customer. If there is no change, we will use the set name that can be seen in the portal.
Notifications
Set who should receive an email from us when one of the following reviews comes in:
Get notified when a new or revised review is approved.
Receive a notification when a new review is put on hold.
A combination of mentioned is possible
Who should receive an email about these reviews? You compose the mailing list under "Notification e-mail address"
Up to 10 e-mail addresses can be added, all e-mail addresses need to be unique. An email address that appears several times is trimmed down to a one recipient.
Email notification with company response
It's always possible to respond to a review, but the writer will not automatically receive a notification when a review is responded to. This function can be adjusted by activating "Send email with a company response.". When a review is responded to, the writer will be notified.
This is not a communication methode. The writer of the review is purely informed and cannot start-up a dialogue from here. Contact with the writer should be set up via a separate mail conversation outside of our portal.
Review API
We will always advise you to automatically invite your customers who have had an experience with your website or company and ask them to write a review. You can set up such an automatic connection per account and this is done via our API. The credentials of the API can be found under this tab in the portal "Review API". Here you will also find the unique Feedback Company ID (one ID per account) and the connector code, which is also unique per account. With both IDs we can find you in our system and you can make connections. The latter depends on the platform that is used.
