Need to get your social media accounts back online with Feedbird? It's easier than you think!

Updated over 3 months ago

Sometimes, the connection between your Facebook or Instagram accounts and Feedbird can break. This might happen if you change your password, update your Facebook settings, or add a new page. But don't worry, reconnecting them is a breeze.

How to Reconnect Your Accounts

If your posts aren't showing up on your social media pages, it's often because the connection needs a quick refresh. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the "Socials" page in your Feedbird Scheduler. This is where you'll find all the social media accounts you've linked to Feedbird.

  2. Locate the Facebook or Instagram account that needs to be reconnected.

  3. Click the three-dot button next to the account. This will give you a few options to manage the account.

  4. Click "Re-authenticate." This will take you through a simple process to re-establish the connection.

Pro Tip: Whenever you update your Facebook or Instagram password, make sure to re-authenticate the account in your Feedbird Scheduler to avoid any posting issues.

Ensuring Feedbird has the Necessary Permissions

Occasionally, posts might not go out because Feedbird needs a few more permissions from Facebook or Instagram. Here's how to check and update those permissions:

  1. Log in to your Facebook profile. This should be the same Facebook profile that manages your Facebook page or Instagram account.

  2. Go to "Settings & privacy" and then "Settings." You'll find these options in the top right corner of your Facebook profile.

  3. Click "Business integrations" on the left-hand side of the page.

  4. Look for "FeedHive.io" in the list and click "View and edit."

  5. Make sure ALL the boxes for the permissions are checked. Don't worry, we only ask for the permissions that are absolutely necessary for Feedbird to work its magic!

Adding New Pages

If you've created a new Facebook page or Instagram account since you first connected to Feedbird, you'll need to add it to your account. Here's how:

  1. Follow steps 1-4 from the "Ensuring Feedbird has the Necessary Permissions" section above.

  2. Once you're in the "FeedHive.io" settings, make sure ALL the permissions are checked for any new pages or groups you want to add.

Why do I need to do this on Facebook?

Facebook has its own way of managing connections and permissions. This process ensures that Feedbird has the most up-to-date access to your accounts.

Do I need to re-add my old pages?

Nope! As long as you haven't changed any permissions for your existing pages, they'll stay connected to Feedbird.
