The better you understand Fernwayer, the better you can share it. This is the story underneath the links and commissions — and the one your audience will want from you.
Fernwayer is a marketplace for curated travel experiences. The human side of travel.
Your audience can book their own flights and hotels. What's harder to find is the part of a trip they'll actually remember — a few hours with someone who knows a place from the inside.
Those encounters have always existed. A fourth-generation fisherman working the Venice lagoon. A Shinto priest whose family has watched over the same shrine for generations. The problem was that their worlds were rarely open in a form travelers could discover and book.
Fernwayer was built to change that.
Every Experience is co-created exclusively, or reconstructed and privatized with special inclusions or a different route, for Fernwayer, not syndicated from an existing catalogue.
Who Experience Makers are
Experience Makers are the heart of the model — photographers, fishermen, artisans, historians, chefs, architects, naturalists, winemakers, and others with a genuine point of view and a deep connection to place.
They are more than guides. Fernwayer doesn't simply list their tour; it shapes each Experience with them, around their story, their skills, and sometimes things they've always wanted to do but never had a platform for.
What makes a Fernwayer Experience different
Private and intimate. Over 95% of the portfolio is privately bookable, with group sizes between two and eight — just the traveler and their companions.
Access that is genuinely rare. Once-a-year festivals, after-hours visits, traditions not usually open to outsiders — with the context to understand what you're seeing.
Wallet-free on the day. Tickets, food, guide fee and tip are included in the price paid upfront. From the moment the traveler arrives, they're a guest — no money changing hands, no calculation running in the background.
Fair value. More than 80% of each booking goes to the Experience Makers and their local collaborators. Admiration alone doesn't preserve a tradition. Fair value does.
The Fernwayer style of travel
It helps to know what Fernwayer isn't. Mass tourism moves a traveler past a place. Slow travel asks them to move to it. Fernwayer is a third way — a private, structured encounter with the person who makes a place what it is. Story-centred, never scripted.
One Fernwayer Experience can anchor an entire trip.
Why this matters for you
You're not sending your audience to another booking platform. You're pointing them to something they couldn't easily have found on their own — and because it's rare, your recommendation carries weight.
The moment a traveler no longer feels like a stranger, even in an entirely unfamiliar place: for Fernwayer, that's the new luxury. It's also what your audience will thank you for.
Fernwayer currently offers 800+ Experiences across 14 countries, with more added regularly.
