Incorrect permission settings can limit Fieldy's functionality. Follow the steps below to ensure everything works smoothly.
Location
Fieldy uses the location permission to tag your memories with appropriate location. Additionally, sometimes disabled location permissions prevent your mobile app from locating your Fieldy wearable via Bluetooth. Make sure location access is enabled:
iOS:
Go to Settings > Apps.
Find the Fieldy app and tap it.
Enable the Location permission for Fieldy by choosing the "Always" option.
Android:
Go to Settings > Apps.
Find the Fieldy app and tap it.
Go to the Permissions section.
Choose the Location permission and enable it.
Battery optimization
Issues with this permission mostly affect Android devices.
Go to Settings > Apps.
Select our app.
Look for Battery Optimization or Background activity and ensure it’s set to "Not Optimized."
If you can't find these options, look for "App background usage" or a similarly named option and make sure background usage is allowed.
These steps make sure your Fieldy will be able to stay connected to the mobile app even when your app is closed, ensuring smooth and stable transcription.
