Windows

Is there a link for this microphone driver?

Sorry no. Because all FIFINE USB microphones use a universal driver built into Windows and Mac, and even some Linux and Chromebook systems. So there is no specific driver to download. If the driver fails to trigger the automatic installation on Windows, just follow the steps below to update and reinstall the driver. For the other system users, please check out the corresponding tabs.

My Windows is not recognizing the microphone (follow the video below to update and reinstall the driver).

The solution to this problem is the same as that for the Fifine K6889 USB Microphone; please refer to the following video (from 0:21 to 3:16) for more information.

⚠️For the latest Windows users, to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound", and click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window.

It didn't work even after reinstallation and update of the driver.

  1. Please download the application to clean up the USB registry of your PC. The code for unzipping the file is "fifine". Download the application here.

  2. Plug the FIFINE A6V Microphone into your computer, uninstall the "Unknown USB Device" under the Device Manager, then unplug the microphone. Skip to the second step if there's no "Unknown USB Device".

  3. Stay on the Device Manager, double-click the app to run, and select “Clean”. Finally, restart the computer and replug the mic into another USB port.

It's recognized, but I didn't hear any sound coming out of my Windows when I spoke.

At this point, you need to troubleshoot if the level meter moves, but no microphone audio can be heard by following the video below (from 1:14 to 1:22).

Click Microphone "FIFINE Microphone" "Properties"– "Listen" – click"Listen to this device" –"Apply."

Tips: Click off "Listen to this device" when you are using any recording software or chatting software.

If the level meter doesn't move, please check if the gain knob on the bottom of the mic is turned up.

After upgrading to Win 10, the A6V Microphone doesn't work.

If the level meter doesn't move, please check if the microphone gain knob at the bottom is turned up.

Troubleshoot if the level meter does NOT move by following the video below (from 5:53 to 6:52). Tips: Fifine A6V works the same as K669B for this part.

⚠️For the latest Windows users, to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound", and click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window.

The solution to this problem is the same as that for the Fifine K6889 USB Microphone; please take a look at the following video (from 6:53 to 8:16) for more information.

It's recognized, but no sound on my Mac.

Please follow the video below from 1:45 to 1:55.

Chromebook

Will it work on a Chromebook?

Because of the variations of the Chrome OS system, we have only confirmed that the computer models and system versions below work.

  • Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015) with OS Version: 67.0.3396.99;

  • Acer R11 with Version: 71;

  • Acer C720, Acer C740, Samsung Series 3, and Samsung Series 5 with OS Version: 72.0.3626.117.

Then download a Voice Recorder app from the Play Store, and you're good to go.

Mobile

How to use it with smartphones (Android and iPhone) or tablets (Android and iPad)?

It works when used with a proper USB adapter. But we recommend using it only with Windows and Mac computers, because you can't speak into the microphone and hear from the smartphone at the same time.

  • Android with a micro-USB port needs a micro-USB male to Type-A female adapter.

  • Android with a Type-C port needs a Type-C male to Type-A female adapter.

  • iPhone/iPad with a Lightning port needs a Lightning male to Type-A female adapter.

  • iPhone/iPad with a Type-C port needs a Type-C male to Type-A female adapter.

⚠️Highly recommend the adapter, USB-C to USB Adapter, from the Apple store if you do want to use the mic for your Apple mobiles.

Game Console

On a PlayStation console, learn how to use a wired/wireless headset along with the microphone.

⚠️Go to "Settings"-"Devices"-"Audio Devices"-uncheck the option of "Switch Output Device Automatically"-plug the microphone into the console while the headset into your controller-choose the correct input and output devices. The shortfall is that you have to do it whenever you use your PlayStation.

How to use this microphone with an Xbox?

⚠️ The Fifine AmpliGame A6V Microphone doesn't work with the Xbox console or controller directly. So we don't recommend using it with the Xbox. But there's a way to do so. You can get it to work, but the sound quality would become so bad that you would rather not do so.

Plug the mic into a computer that has the monitoring feature, and find a 3.5mm audio cable. Plug one end into the computer headphone jack, and the other end into your Xbox controller.

Tips: please refer to the "It's recognized, but I didn't hear any sound coming out of my Windows when I spoke" part.
