Windows

Is there a link for this microphone driver?

Sorry, no. All FIFINE USB microphones use a universal driver that is included with Windows, Mac, and some Linux and Chromebook systems. There is no special driver to download. If the driver does not install automatically on Windows, simply update and reinstall it using the instructions outlined below. Please go to the relevant tabs for other system users.

The name of K670 was "Mic-test"/"FIFINE K670 Microphone", now it is "USB Advanced Audio Device". What’s happened?

Check these steps below, and more details are in the PDF file.

  • First, check the VID & PID of your mic. Right click speaker icon on the right corner of the computer → "Sound"/"Open sound settings" → "Recording". Double click the mic “USB Advanced Audio Device” → “Properties” → “Details”. Select “Hardware lds” to check the VID & PID.

For ”VID_3142, PID_0001”, the VID is 3142, while the PID is 0001.

  • Then, open the CM6400 folder, and double-click software config6400-2006.

  • Filling the VID & PID, which shows under the “Hardware lds” page. Such as fill in your VID and PID. When filling in "VID,PID", press "caps lock" on the keyboard to show capital letters.

  • Click “Connect” until the following interface appears, which will show the drive data at the top of the page. And the “FILE->EEPROM” will be available under the PID.

  • Click "FILE->EEPROM", select the attachment file. Choose file FIFINE K670 Microphone.bin, then click “Open".

  • Wait about 10 seconds until the software displays the following interface, and click “OK”.

My Windows is not recognizing the FIFINE K670 Microphone

At this point, there’s the same method for the FIFINE USB microphone. So let’s check out the video below from 0:21 to 3:16.

✔️First, you should check if the USB PnP audio device is recognized:

Right-click the “speaker” icon in the lower right corner of your computer. Go to "Sound", then choose "Recording." You can check if the USB PnP audio device shows out and it is the default device.

⚠️If the USB Device is not recognized or no USB PnP Audio Device appears in the sound settings, try to follow these steps:

  1. Test the mic on another computer and check if the USB PNP audio device appears.

  2. No other PC available? Go to “Start Menu” < search “Control Panel” < “Device Manager” < “Sound, voice, and game controllers” < check if the “USB PNP Audio Device” is in the list.

  3. If a USB PNP audio device/ unknown USB device appears, right-click it and choose "Update driver" software and “Browse my computer for driver software”. Then click “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”.

  4. Wait for a while, and your PC will have updated its software.

  5. Go back to “Sound, video and game controllers” < right click “USB PNP audio Device” < “Uninstall”. So your microphone driver will be removed.

  6. Now you can restart your computer and plug the mic into another USB port. At that time, your PC will recognize your mic again.

For the latest Windows users, in order to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound", click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window.

K670 didn't work even after reinstallation and update of the driver.

  • Please download the application file to clean up the USB registry of your PC. The code for unzipping the file is "fifine".

  • Plug the FIFINE K670 mic into your computer, uninstall the "Unknown USB Device" under the Device Manager, then unplug the microphone. Skip to the second step if there's no "Unknown USB Device".

  • Stay on the Device Manager, double-click the app to run. Select “Clean”. Finally, restart the computer and replug the mic into another USB port.

K670 Is Recognized, but No Sound Is Heard on Windows

Check if the level meter moves when you speak into K670. If it moves, then please follow the video below (from 1:39 to 2:10).

  1. Choose “Setting” - “Sound” - “Recording”. If the mic is recognized by the computer, the "USB PnP Audio Device" appears, and the bar-type icon turns green and bounces when you talk to the mic.

  2. If no sound is picked up, right-click the icon, choose “Properties”- “Listen” -- "Listen to this device."

  3. Click "Level" and adjust the microphone's microphone. Make sure the input volume is not muted, and it's better to set the volume around 70% for the best effect.

  4. Click "Playback". If the "USB PNP Audio Device" is not recognized as the default device, just click "Set Default" below.

  5. Then right-click "USB PNP Audio Device", choose “Properties” - “Level”. Make sure the output volume is not muted.

  6. To check if you have selected the correct output device, turned up the output volume, and enabled the monitoring feature through the system.

⚠️For the latest Windows users, to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound", and click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window.

After upgrading to Win 10, the FIFINE K670 doesn't work.

If the level meter doesn't move, please check if the microphone gain knob at the bottom is turned up.

Troubleshoot if the level meter does NOT move by following the video below (from 5:53 to 6:52). You can take a quick browse here:

  1. Choose “Settings” - “Privacy” - “Microphone.”

  2. Click the “Change” button under the “Microphone access for this device is off.”

  3. Choose “On” of the “Microphone for this device.”

  4. Choose “On” from the “Allow apps to access your microphone.”

  5. Choose the Apps that you want your mic to work on.

  6. Finally, restart the computer.

For the latest Windows users, in order to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound", click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window.

Mac

Is there a link for this microphone driver?

Sorry no. Because all FIFINE USB microphones use a universal driver built into Windows and Mac, and even Linux, and Chromebook systems. So there is no specific driver to download.

My Mac is not recognizing the K670 mic.

⚠️Follow the video below (from 1:02 to 1:17) to check if the K670 is seen by your Mac. If not, please test out with another USB port on your Mac, and better to test with another computer.

1. Click the “Apple icon” on the top left of the screen - “System Preferences” - “Sound” - “Input”. Check if there USNB PNP audio device.

2. Select the same option for "Output" if the output device is plugged into the 3.5mm jack of the microphone. If you want to output the sound from the built-in speakers of your Mac laptop, please select "Internal Speakers" as the output device.

The FIFINE K670 mic is recognized, but no sound on my Mac.

1. Go to “Input” and “Output” of the “Sound” Setting. Make sure the “USB PNP Audio Device” volume is on.

2. Go to “Input” and check if the input level meter moves when speaking into K670. If not, restart the computer and replug the mic into another USB port. Check whether the level meter moves. If the result is the same, test it on another computer.

3. If the level meter moves when you speak to the mic, then make sure that you select the correct output device and turn up the output volume.

There are only two situations when it comes to finding the correct output: one is that the headphone is plugged into the 3.5mm jack of the mic, then choose "FIFINE chat" as the default output. The other is that you plug a pair of headphones into the computer, then choose the internal speaker as the output device.

Chromebook

Will the FIFINE K67O mic work on a Chromebook?

Because of the variations of the Chrome OS system, we have only confirmed that the computer models and system versions below work.

Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015) with OS Version: 67.0.3396.99;

Acer R11 with Version: 71;

Acer C720, Acer C740, Samsung Series 3, and Samsung Series 5 with OS Version: 72.0.3626.117.

Then download a Voice Recorder app from the Play Store, and you're good to go.

Mobile

How to use K670 with smartphones (Android and iPhone) or tablets (Android and iPad)?

It works when used with a proper USB adapter. But we recommend using it only with Windows and Mac computers, because you can't speak into the microphone and hear from the smartphone at the same time.

Android with a micro-USB port needs a micro-USB male to Type-A female adapter.

Android with a Type-C port needs a Type-C male to Type-A female adapter.

iPhone/iPad with a Lightning port needs a Lightning male to Type-A female adapter.

iPhone/iPad with a Type-C port needs a Type-C male to Type-A female adapter.

Highly recommend the adapter from the Apple store if you do want to use the mic for your Apple mobiles.

Game Console

How to use a wired/wireless headset along with K670 on a PlayStation console?

⚠️Go to "Settings"-"Devices"-"Audio Devices"-uncheck the option of "Switch Output Device Automatically"-plug the microphone into the console while the headset into your controller-choose the correct input and output devices. The shortfall is that you have to do it whenever you use your PlayStation.

How to use K670 with an Xbox?

⚠️The mic doesn't work with the Xbox console or controller directly. So we don't recommend using it with the Xbox. But there's a way to do so. You can get it to work, but the sound quality would become so bad that you would rather not do so.

Plug the mic into a computer-find a 3.5mm audio cable-plug one end into the headphone jack at the back of the K670, and the other end into your Xbox controller.
