Background noise can affect any microphone, but understanding your gear is the first step to cleaner audio. Whether you use a dynamic or condenser mic, a few practical adjustments can significantly improve your sound quality.

1️⃣Optimize Your Setup and Environment

Condenser mics such as FIFINE AmpliGame A6V and A8 are highly sensitive and capture detailed sound - including background noise. Use them in a quiet, controlled environment. Dynamic mics like FIFINE AmpliGame AM8 and K688, being less sensitive, are naturally more resistant to ambient noise and are better suited for louder spaces.

Keep your recording space quiet: close windows, turn off fans or AC units, and position the mic with its back toward noise sources.

Simple acoustic treatments can yield significant improvements. Consider placing a rug on the floor, hanging thick curtains on the walls, or using bookshelves and foam panels to absorb sound and reduce reflections.

2️⃣Adjust Gain and Speaking Distance

Set your microphone gain to around 25-30% to avoid amplifying background noise.

  • For condenser mics: speak within 5-7 inches for clear vocal capture.

  • For dynamic mics: speak even closer to take advantage of the proximity effect for a richer tone and improved noise rejection.

3️⃣Take Advantage of the Polar Pattern

Most FIFINE mics feature a cardioid pickup pattern, meaning they capture sound best from the front. Make sure you’re speaking into the correct side and orient the mic so that unwanted noise comes from the rear.

4️⃣Software and Settings Tips

On Windows, disable audio enhancements: Right-click the speaker icon → Sound Settings → select your mic → disable sound effects.

Also, set your FIFINE mic as the default input device and turn off other unused mics. Use noise suppression tools like OBS filters(available in Discord and other apps) for real-time filtering.

5️⃣Test and Troubleshoot

Try a different USB port or computer to rule out system-specific issues. Keep wireless devices away to avoid interference.

If noise persists, review your environment and gain structure-often the issue is situational, not hardware-related.

Choose the right mic for your setting: condensers mic for home studios, a dynamic mic for gaming streams, or an environment with complex background sound. Small changes make big differences. For more guides, visit our support page.
