We recommend that for all Figure questions please use the Intercom app located in the lower right hand corner of every page in your Figure account. Click this icon and send us your question….

Intercom is more efficient because at any given time, there can be 2-3 members of our team monitoring this app. Whereas, if you send a direct email to one person, and that person is away from their laptop, it could delay your answer time.

When you jump into your Figure account for the first time these are the most important tasks to complete the setup/activation process.

We want you to be able to start communicating with customers, presenting your wines, and processing orders as soon as possible. For that to get started here are the points you need complete:

1- Get your bank account loaded and verified into Figure
Login to your Figure account. In the upper right hand corner you will click on “Settings” and then click on “Payments” in upper centered column of blue text.

This is where you enter all of your company banking information...where you want the money from wine sales to go.

**Very Important**The “Business Name” is the name that matches your tax filing. Please be sure you are aware if your “Business Name” and your winery name (DBA) are different when filling out this banking information in your Figure account. If you enter this information differently than how you file with the IRS it could lead to penalties, fines, or additional withholdings.

Once you enter that information, there will be a process to Verify the bank account. That process will involve two small deposits into your bank account from Stripe and you will need to enter those amounts during the Verify process back into your Figure account.

For more on this process, visit the Payments article.

2- Populate details on the Settings>General page
Again, click “Settings” and then click on “General”, the first word of blue text in that upper centered area of the page.

The “General” section of details are main aspects of your business that you’ll want to have entered before populating any other section of the Figure platform.

**Very important**Be sure to put a / (forward-slash) at the end of your Website URL. This ensures that your pre-auth login keys will work properly when launched from your Campaign Monitor or MailChimp account. Without it, pre-auth links won’t work.

3- Get your email DNS records established and verified
Under Settings>General you scroll down to the “Email Addresses” section and you will see three cells, “Admin Email”, “Company Email”, and “Bounce Email”.

*Partially Important*—Just as insight, when selecting an email address for basic company wide email communication with clients for order confirmations, wine release campaigns, contact email on your website, etc, you may want to steer away from an email that starts with info@. Spamming bots are notorious for automatically finding any newly registered domain name, putting info@ in front of it, and sending you their unwanted junk messages. Perhaps think up something less common and go with it, fun options could be...

queries@, notices@, remarks@, salutations@, bulletin@, advisements@, counsel@, publications@, statements@, broadcast@, briefing@

Once you have made that naming decision, follow the instructions below each cell to learn which email does what. After populating those cells, you will need to authenticate your email sending domain name. It involves updating/verifying your DNS/SPF with TXT and CNAME records within your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Hover, etc).

For the “Admin Email” you could add a personalized intro like...

Your Wine Company Name <queries@yourwinecompanyname.com>

Or

For the “Company Email”, you would just put the email…

For the Bounce Email, (once activated - this is a new feature under final testing), you will be notified of clients who’ve had an email from the Figure system bounce (not get delivered). Many times, these bounces are a situation that can be solved quickly. Email addresses spelled incorrectly happens often.
