Example: If you have a customer that placed an order with Ground shipping, but then wants to switch to 2Day Air, this is how you go about making that adjustment to the order.

Your process is to click into an order, to see all the details, and in the addresses section of the order you will see a button that says “Edit Delivery”.

In that window you will see a drop down menu that you should adjust from “Ground” to “2Day Air”

This window will also provide you the option to update the delivery address if need be, which you can read more about in the article titled, Changing the shipping address in an existing order.

Then click the Update Shipping Info button.

That will update the shipping method in the order details.

If you need to add or refund some shipping charges for the method adjustment there are three options:

Use the "Edit Order" feature in the right margin of the order details page. In that process, on the first page, you don't adjust any product quantities and just proceed to the final page, where you will automatically see the shipping adjustment needing to take place - a refund or additional charge.

You can also scroll down to the bottom of the order details page, click the “Apply New Payment to this Order” button, and add the additional shipping cost you want to charge into the Shipping designated cell.

However, if your customer originally processed the order with 2Day Air shipping but now requests Ground, most likely they would appreciate receiving a refund for the difference in shipping costs. That can be done by clicking the “Define and Issue a Refund” button and removing some dollars from the Shipping designated cell.
