This feature can be useful when you have to send a message to a group of customers, perhaps regarding a weather hold or reminding a group of customers about an upcoming pickup party date.

Before you trigger any order update email, please go to Settings>Emails where you will find a section titled “Order Update Email”. This is the messaging the customers will receive. Feel free to customize the subject line and messaging you want to send.

Remember to Save Changes.

Once that is complete, on the main Orders page you can use the Quick Filters in the right margin. Let's say you need to send a weather hold update email. The third cell down in the Quick Filter is “Shipping Statuses”. Set that to “Not Shipped” and then click the black filter button at the bottom.

That will show you all the orders since Jan 1 that have not yet been shipped.
Select the top check box in the left column to select all the orders so you can send the message in bulk. In the “Choose an Action” drop down menu select the option, “Send Update Email to Selected Orders”. All those customers will receive the Order Update Email message along with details from that order - wines purchased, quantities, shipping address, etc.

You may want to place a test order of your own and send a copy to yourself so you can see how the messaging looks. Follow the same process but only select your “Not Shipped” order.
