1. Start by configuring the email verbiage by clicking on the Settings > Emails page

2. Scroll down to "Order Recovery Emails (Abandoned Carts)"

3. Add your Subject Line (1-3) and Message (1-3)

There are three different email templates you can pre-populate so you can send different versions of the email. For example, you can generate three different emails that are sent in sequence with an increasing sense of urgency. Or perhaps you have different allocation groups, each with its own unique marketing. Or you can just use one email version and keep the others blank. It is important to note that you need to fill out at least one of the email subjects or messages or the email will NOT be sent.

4. Click on Save Changes

5. To view your Abandoned carts, click on Orders > Abandoned

Abandoned carts are generated when a customer starts an order and then closes their browser without checking out.

6. To send an email, check the box to the left of the abandoned cart

7. Select the 'Choose an action' dropdown

8. Choose an action

  • Export > Abandoned Cart Data Export [.csv], downloads a detailed file with information about the customer order(s).

  • Recover > Send Email 1 - 3 will send an email to the selected recipient(s) with the email message of our choosing.

  • Archive > Archive Selected Orders will remove the cart from your queue.

9. When you choose to Send Email X, it triggers a system email that is sent to your customer with your company logo at the header, the specific subject, and the message, along with a clickable link they can select to return to your site logged in so they can complete the transaction.

10. Click on Recovered to view your recovered carts

Recovered carts are when customers select the login link and complete their transaction.

11. To view your Archived carts, click on the 'Archive' tab

Archived carts are removed from your queue so you can focus on purchasers that have a better chance of recovery. We recommend archiving these orders regularly.
