Your workflow dashboard is the first thing you see when you log into Financial Cents. This is where you can easily track the status of client work and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Watch our video on tracking work and deadlines below:

Owners/Managers: You can track the status of your work and your team's work

Staff Members: You can easily see what you have to work on next and when it is due

In the workflow dashboard, you're able to see the work status, what client it is for, the start date, the due date, and who on your team is responsible for the work—giving you complete visibility.

Here's the workflow dashboard:

Workflow Filters

If you have several team members or a lot of clients, there may be a lot of work in this dashboard view. In order to organize all of your work you can easily filter down your view to only see the work that you want to see.

Below are the the filters you can use and how they work:

Search Bar: You can filter by the type of work. For example: Bookkeeping, tax, or payroll.

Tags: These are custom filters that you can create. Every firm is different and tags allow you to create filters that fit your process. You can learn more about tags in this article.

Assignees: Filter by assignees/ team members to track the status of their work.

Clients: Filter by work for a specific client. This is great for when a client calls asking for an update.

Due Date: Filter by the due date to see work due today, this week, next week, this month, a specific date, and more

Show Curent Assignee: This is an advanced filter that lets you see who is actively working on the project from the workflow view. This allows managers to quickly see who's queue each project is in, and lets staff see the work they need to do at that given moment. You can learn more in this article.

Client Groups: Filter your dashboard to show work related to a specific client group. For example, tax clients, bookkeeping clients, leads, etc. You can learn more about client groups in this article.

You can easily use multiple filters together to get a more granular view of work. For example:

  • Bookkeeping due this week (Search: Bookkeeping + Due Date: This week)

  • Tax returns due this week (Search: Tax returns + Due Date: This week)

  • Work due this week on hold ( Filter: This week + Tag: Waiting on client info)

Once you understand which views matter most to you can save them. Doing this makes it easy to switch back and forth between important views. You can even choose a view to be the default view every time you log into Financial Cents. You can learn more about saved views in this article.

When you have filters or tags applied to your workflow dashboard, you can easily clear your view by clicking "Clear Filters", as seen here:
