6. Prize

6.1 There will be one (1) winner.

6.2 The winner will receive £500.00, which will be paid by the Promoter to a valid UK bank account held in the winner’s legal name and at the winner’s legal address, subject to verification by the Promoter.
6.3 The winner will also receive two (2) tickets to the London Modern Investor Summit 2026 in-person event in London, UK, on the 1st of October 2026, worth a total of £200.00. Precise venue and time for the event is to be confirmed. No cash alternative or substitution will be offered.

6.4 Finimize will not place any investment order, execute any trade, open any investment account, or provide any dealing, brokerage, investment management, or similar service in connection with the prize.

6.5 The prize is intended to support the winner’s investment in a UK investment platform or product listed in the Finimize Awards survey, but responsibility for making any investment decision and placing any order rests solely with the winner.

6.6 The winner must, within two (2) weeks of being contacted via email, confirm:

a. their acceptance of the prize;
b. the UK investment platform or product listed in the Finimize Awards survey that they intend to use; and
c. the details of the valid UK bank account in their own legal name to which the prize should be paid.

6.7 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be substituted for cash or any equivalent value other than payment of the £500 prize itself in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

6.8 The Promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize or select an alternative winner if the winner does not provide the information required for payment, if the bank account details provided are invalid or do not match the winner’s verified identity, or if there are legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, sanctions-screening, technical, banking, or other compliance-related reasons preventing payment.

7. No-Cost-To-Claim Guarantee

7.1 The winner will not be required to make any payment to the Promoter or incur any fee charged by the Promoter in order to claim the prize.

7.2 The Promoter will not charge the winner any administration fee, transfer fee, handling fee, or similar fee in connection with the prize.

7.3 The winner may, however, be subject to charges imposed by their own bank or payment provider for receiving funds. Any such charges are outside the Promoter’s control and, where applicable, may be deducted automatically from the prize money by the winner’s bank or payment provider before or upon receipt.

8. Winner Selection and Contact

8.1 The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received by the Closing Date.

8.2 The draw will take place after the Closing Date within a reasonable time.

8.3 The winner will be contacted by email using the email address associated with their Finimize account by 1 June 2026.

8.4 If the winner does not respond within two (2) weeks of the initial contact attempt, or is unable to accept the prize, or fails to provide any information reasonably required by the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize and the Promoter may select an alternative winner at random from the remaining eligible entrants.

8.5 The Promoter’s decision in relation to the Prize Draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into except as required by law.

9. Prize Delivery Timing

9.1 Subject to the winner being successfully verified, providing all information reasonably required by the Promoter, and there being no barrier to payment caused by the winner, the winner’s bank, or any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, the Promoter will use reasonable efforts to deliver the prize by 1 July 2026.

9.2 The Promoter will not be responsible for delay where payment is prevented or delayed due to incorrect bank details, failed identity verification, account restrictions, anti-fraud or compliance checks, payment rejection, banking-system issues, or any omission or act of the winner or the winner’s bank.

10. Investment and Financial Risk

10.1 The Prize Draw and prize do not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

10.2 The winner is solely responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to invest any prize money, and for ensuring that any selected platform or product is suitable for them.

10.3 Investments can go down as well as up, and the winner may get back less than the amount invested.

10.4 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any losses, fees, tax liabilities, market movements, account restrictions, delays, or other consequences arising from or connected with the winner’s use of any investment platform or product, or from any investment decision made by the winner.

11. Publicity and Winner Details Transparency

11.1 By entering the Prize Draw, entrants acknowledge that, if they win, the Promoter may announce the winner to the Finimize audience and partners via email, push notifications, web advertisements, and in-app messages, using the winner’s first name, the name of the platform / product the winner has selected to place their investment with, and any additional information the winner agrees to having published in writing, such as their image, personal quotes about Finimize and / or the investment product / platform they've selected, and their investment experience, as confirmed and agreed via email exchange with the Promoter.

11.2 In addition, to demonstrate that a valid award has taken place, the Promoter may need to publish or make available the winner’s surname and county in accordance with applicable promotional marketing rules. CAP guidance says promoters must ordinarily publish or make available information showing that a valid award took place, usually including the surname and county of major prize winners. (ASA)

11.3 Any entrant may object to, or request that the Promoter limit, the publication or making available of their surname and county. The Promoter will consider such requests in accordance with applicable law and regulatory requirements.

11.4 Even where an objection is made, the Promoter may still be required to provide relevant winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority, CAP, or another regulator on request in order to demonstrate that the Prize Draw has been properly administered. CAP’s guidance notes that an objection can be made, but regulators may still need the information to verify compliance. (ASA)

12. Prize Draw Privacy Notice

12.1 The Promoter will process personal data relating to entrants for the purposes of administering the Prize Draw, verifying eligibility, contacting the winner, preventing fraud, arranging payment of the prize, publishing or making available winner information where required, and complying with legal and regulatory obligations.

12.2 The categories of personal data processed may include name, email address, Finimize account information, survey participation information, ranking information submitted in the survey, eligibility evidence, bank account details supplied for prize payment, and correspondence relating to the Prize Draw.

12.3 The Promoter will process entrants’ personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and in line with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. 12.4 The Promoter’s main Privacy Policy is available on the Finimize website.

12.5 The Promoter will retain Prize Draw personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for administration of the Prize Draw, winner verification, payment, complaint handling, regulatory compliance, and legal record-keeping, after which it will be deleted or securely anonymized unless a longer retention period is required by law. ICO guidance says privacy information should tell individuals the purposes of processing, retention periods, and who data will be shared with. (ICO)

12.6 Personal data may be shared with service providers, payment providers, banks, professional advisers, auditors, regulators, or authorities where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions.

12.7 Entrants have rights under applicable data protection law, which may include the right to request access to their personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and, where applicable, data portability, subject to legal limitations and exemptions. ICO guidance identifies the right to be informed as a key transparency requirement and explains that individuals should be told about these rights. (ICO)

12.8 Entrants may also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if they believe their personal data has been handled unlawfully.

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its affiliates, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting or using the prize.

13.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

13.3 The Promoter is not responsible for:

a. entries not successfully completed due to technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server issues of any kind;
b. any lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, or inaccessible entries, communications, or prize notifications;
c. any inability of the winner to receive funds into their nominated bank account due to bank restrictions or verification failures; or
d. any act or omission of any third-party bank, payment provider, platform, intermediary, regulator, or service provider involved in prize administration or payment.
e. any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage suffered during travel to or from, accommodation, or attendance at the London Modern Investor Summit 2026 event, except where directly caused by the Promoters’ negligence.

14. Right to Amend, Suspend, or Cancel

14.1 The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions, suspend, or cancel the Prize Draw only in exceptional circumstances where it is reasonably necessary to do so for legal, regulatory, technical, operational, or fraud-prevention reasons, or where circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control make this unavoidable. CAP guidance says conditions of entry should only be amended in exceptional circumstances. (ASA)

14.2 Any such action will be carried out in a way that seeks to preserve fairness to entrants as far as reasonably possible.

14.3 Where practicable, the Promoter will give notice of any material amendment, suspension, or cancellation through an appropriate channel.

15. Additional Disclaimers

15.1 No Endorsement: The competition is not endorsed, administered by, or associated with, any of the investment products or platforms mentioned on the Finimize Awards survey.

15.2 Force Majeure: The Promoters accept no responsibility if the competition or prize is delayed, cancelled, or amended due to events outside their control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government restrictions).

15.3 Non-Redeemable Value: The prize may not be resold, transferred, or exchanged.

15.4 Tax Responsibility: Any taxes, duties, or other charges associated with accepting the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
