Best Practices and Tips
Balance is key: Make sure your debits and credits sum to zero for each adjustment. The template’s Check column helps verify this.
Use the correct entity dropdown: Double-check that you’re selecting the right entity in cell B5 before entering any amounts.
Clear, descriptive transaction info: A good Transaction Description (e.g., “Adjustment for January Utilities”) makes it easier to track and understand your financials later on.
One entry date per row: Keep dates consistent for entries that belong to the same period.
Filter by [Adj] : To quickly locate all your adjustments, filter on entities that begin with [Adj].

No. Always start with the Finstack-provided template. Renaming columns or changing the layout may cause upload errors.

Locate the adjustment in Finance Entries and edit it manually, or delete and re-upload the row if a complete replacement is needed.
3. How can I confirm that the upload worked?

4. Can I upload adjustments for multiple entities in one Excel file?
Yes, you can. Just be sure you select the correct entity from the dropdown in each row.
5. Do I need special permissions to import adjustments?
Yes, depending on your role. If you don’t see the “Upload file” option, contact your administrator.
