1. Introduction

Finstack supports Odoo as a data source. Sync transactions, account data, and other financial details directly from Odoo to streamline reporting and analysis.

2. Requirements

The integration is available for Odoo versions 13 and above.
The "custom" pricing tier is required.
The user must have admin permissions to enable the connection.

3. Step-by-Step Guide

Follow the steps below to set up the connection with Finstack.

Step 1: Preparation

Find your Odoo URL
Find the version of your Odoo account
1. Go to Configuration → Settings, select General Settings and scroll down
Find your database name
1. Go to Configuration → Settings, select General Settings and select Activate the developer mode from Developer Tools.
In case you have Multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled, you additionally need to create an API key
1. Go to Preferences
2. Go to Account Security
3. Select "New API key"
  1. Fill in your password
  2. Provide a name, for example: "Finstack API key"
  3. Select "Persistent key"
  4. Safely store the API that is generated

Step 2: Setting up the connection

Fill all the fields in the setup form
1. Name of the connection
2. Odoo URL
3. Odoo version
4. Database name
5. User name
6. Authentication
  1. MFA disabled: use the Account password
  2. MFA enabled: use the API key

Step 3: Select company

Select the company to connect to.
Press "Submit"

That should be it! The data will now be synced to Finstack.
