ℹ️ How to fix a hanging log-in screen, or endless spinning wheel on log-in.

Disable ad-blockers

☝️ If you can see this screen and are struggling to log in to First Draft Pro, you might have an ad blocker turned on that is interfering with the Google sign-in popup.

Here's how to fix that:

  1. Temporarily turn your ad blocker off.

  2. Refresh the page, and you should see the Google sign-in popup.

  3. Log in to First Draft Pro via Google sign-in.

  4. Immediately turn your ad blocker back on (it should not affect you again).

Disable plugins

If you don't have an ad blocker turned on, and you're still experiencing this issue, it might be an extension plugin that is attempting an autofill and preventing you from accessing the pop-up (for example, 1Password).

Temporarily disabling the plugin solves it immediately.

This is a one-time issue that only affects you on the first login. All successive log-ins should be simple and smooth.

We're looking at ways that we can remedy this issue long-term.
