🛠 Troubleshooting Data Sync Issues with FitFocus

If you've seen a message like “Data sync issue detected”, it means there’s a problem syncing your health data with FitFocus. Don’t worry—here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve it quickly.

1. ✅ Check App Permissions

Ensure FitFocus has the required permissions to access your health data:

  • iPhone:

    • Go to Settings → Privacy → Health → FitFocus

    • Make sure all permissions are enabled

  • Android:

    • Open Settings → Apps → FitFocus → Permissions → Health Connect

    • Confirm all relevant permissions are granted

2. 🔄 Enable Background Sync

FitFocus syncs in the background to keep your data up to date.

  • iPhone:

    • Go to Settings → General → Background App Refresh

    • Find FitFocus and toggle ON

  • Android:

    • Go to Settings → Apps → FitFocus → Battery

    • Set to Unrestricted

3. 🌐 Check Data Connection Settings

Make sure the app is allowed to use internet data:

  • iPhone:

    • Go to Settings → FitFocus → Cellular Data

    • Toggle ON

  • Android:

    • Open Settings → Apps → FitFocus → Mobile data & WiFi

    • Ensure both options are enabled

4. ⌚️ Wearable Device Configuration

If you’re using a wearable device, check the following:

  • Ensure your wearable is paired correctly with your phone

  • Verify that the companion app is installed and updated

  • Confirm that it’s authorised to share data with Apple Health or Google Health Connect

  • Try syncing manually through the wearable’s companion app

🤔 Still having problems?

Try restarting both your phone and wearable device.
