Fitmedik works like your own personal AI assistant, quickly fetching any policy, procedure, or community knowledge from your database. You can think of it like “ChatGPT for your facility’s policies”—ask a question, and Fitmedik will find the best possible answer.


Step 1: Log in to Fitmedik

  1. Open Your Web Browser

    • Chrome, Safari, Edge—whatever you normally use.

  2. Go to the Fitmedik Website

    • Enter Fitmedik app URL (e.g., fitmedik.app) and press Enter.

  3. Log In

    • Use the same username and password you were given or that you created.

Tip: If you forget your password, click Forgot Password? and follow the on-screen instructions.


Step 2: Navigate to the Chat Section

Once you’re logged in, you’ll see Fitmedik’s main screen.

  • On the left-side menu, select Chats.

  • You’ll see a greeting, such as “Hello, how can I assist you today?”

Why do we use Chat?

Fitmedik’s Chat is your direct line to the AI assistant that can pull up the exact policy or procedure you’re looking for—just like having a real-time policy expert at your side.



Step 3: Ask Fitmedik for a Policy

Under the Chat window:

  1. Click the Type message... field at the bottom.

  2. Type your question about the policy you need. For example:

    “Could you show me the policy on medication administration for residents with dementia?”

  3. Press Enter or click the arrow button to send your question.

  4. Wait a moment while Fitmedik retrieves the relevant information from your facility’s policy library.


Step 4: Review the Policy Information

Fitmedik will reply with:

  • A summary of the policy.

  • Key points or guidelines (e.g., steps to administer medication).

  • Possible links or file attachments, if available.

    Just read the policy Fitmedik provides, the same way you’d read a printed document. If you need more details, simply ask another question like, “Can you elaborate on the documentation steps?”

    • No, it works just like sending a text message. Simply type your question about a policy, and Fitmedik will locate it for you.

    • All policies are securely stored in Fitmedik’s database, accessible only by authorized staff. You’ll see policy details in Chat or in other designated sections if your facility has enabled them.

  3. What if I can’t find a policy?

    • Double-check your question for keywords. If you still can’t find it, contact an administrator or supervisor—they may need to add the policy to Fitmedik’s database.

  4. How often are policies updated?

    • That depends on your facility’s processes. Many choose to update Fitmedik whenever a policy changes. You can always ask, “When was this policy last updated?” to see the date.
