Create Coupons (discount codes)

How do I create coupons (discount codes) to use in my programs?

Updated this week

Follow this step by step guide:

  1. Head to 'Coupons' from the main menu options

  2. Click 'Create a Coupon Code'

  3. Follow the steps on the pop-up to create the coupon code you need.4. Specify the discount percentage for the coupon (e.g., 100%).

  4. Set the duration of the coupon. For a permanent discount, choose 'forever' or 'indefinite' options.

It is important to note that coupon settings, like duration and discount rates, cannot be changed once the coupon is created. Ensure that all configurations are correct before saving.

To create a coupon with a permanent discount, define the discount rate (e.g., 100%) and choose a 'forever' or 'indefinite' duration during the setup process.

If changes to an existing coupon's settings are required, a new coupon needs to be created with the updated configurations.

Unused or replaced coupons should be deactivated to ensure a clear and organized discount system.

For clarification, it is not possible to create coupons less than 1 month in length. However, if you’d like to offer a free trial for a period less than 1 month we recommend using the integrated free trial period feature.

When creating permanent discounts, always select the 'forever' or 'indefinite' duration option in the coupon settings.

In addition, it is useful to note that the system 'stacks' coupons, so one does not rule out the other.

For example, if a client is on a 6 month 10% off code, but you then reward them with a one-off one month 30% code the for the month they apply it they will receive 40% off, and then return to their 10% off price the month after again.

Proper configuration of coupon settings at creation ensures the best results and avoids future administrative complications.

It is always important to consider time limits and how many times a coupon can be used when issuing them out to clients.
