How do I earn medals?

Learn how to earn medals, master your moves, and push your workouts to the next level

Updated over 3 weeks ago

We have updated how medals are awarded in FitXR to make the scoring system clearer, more consistent, and fair across all class types. Your medal now reflects how close you got to the maximum possible score for that specific workout.

🎯How the new medal system works

Previously, the way medals were calculated was not very clear and could feel inconsistent between class types. Now medals are scored based solely on Move Points.

Every class has a defined point ceiling. Since each mode plays differently, they also have medal thresholds tailored to their design. Box and Combat require higher percentages for Gold and Platinum, while Dance, Zumba, and Sculpt have slightly lower thresholds to match their flow.

HIIT is the only mode without a fixed point ceiling because targets respawn continuously. Instead, we estimate the maximum score based on how many hits are realistically achievable per second. Your medal reflects the percentage of that estimated total.

Here's a quick breakdown of how medals are awarded:

Box & Combat

  • Platinum: 90% of max points

  • Gold: 70% of max points

  • Silver: 50% of max points

HIIT, Zumba, Dance, Sculpt

  • Platinum: 80% of max points

  • Gold: 60% of max points

  • Silver: 40% of max points

⭐What this means for you

A fairer system, where you know exactly what you need to do to achieve each medal. On the results screen, you can now see how many points you need to climb all the way up to that Platinum status!

πŸ”§Additional updates to keep scoring intuitive

We also made a few adjustments to simplify scoring:

  • Combos do not reset when a track changes

  • HIIT scoring is now based on fixed points per hit that increase by difficulty level

  • Reaction time was removed from HIIT scoring to keep things clearer

πŸ’‘Why this feels better

This update makes medals more meaningful and more consistent across all the different types of workouts. Whether you are boxing, dancing, or pushing through HIIT, your medal now reflects the effort and execution you brought to that specific class.

Keep pushing, keep progressing, and keep collecting those medals one class at a time.
