The plan for offering a separate version of FitXR will only be valid for users that continue with their Quest 1 device. By that, we mean that if you gain access to the Quest 1 only version of FitXR - but then decide to upgrade to another Quest device, or even a Pico device - you won't be given the same content access.
Before we clarify how your experience will change, these are the two groups of users defined below:
Legacy users - anyone who purchased FitXR or BoxVR as standalone products prior to the introduction of subscriptions in April 2021
Non-Legacy users - anyone who has downloaded FitXR since April 2021, and has only ever had access to the subscription product
For those two groups, here is how your experience will change when upgrading devices:
Legacy users upgrading to newer Quest devices will still be granted Legacy content access (between 75 and 150 classes, depending on when you original purchased FitXR). All you'd need to do for this is to make sure you're logging into your new Quest device with the same Meta account you purchased FitXR through.
Legacy users upgrading to newer Pico devices will not be granted Legacy content access, as these classes do not exist on the Pico version of FitXR. However, if you contact our support team then we'd be happy to add an extended free trial of membership for you.
Non-Legacy users upgrading to either newer Quest devices or Pico devices may be eligible for an extended free of membership on their new device. This will be at the discretion of FitXR, but you can reach out to our Support team to discuss further.
And as always, if you have any questions that you'd like to ask then you can reach out to our Support team.
