Why Does My Amazon Profit Not Show Correctly?

Amazon Profit and Shipping data

Updated over a week ago

If you're noticing discrepancies in your Amazon profit data, here are a few important points to consider:

  1. Amazon Shares Estimated Values Initially
When an order is placed, Amazon initially provides a predicted sales price—this often does not account for discounts applied at checkout. Alongside this, they share projected commission and estimated shipping costs via API.

  2. Actual Values Are Delayed
It can take up to a week for Amazon to finalize and share the actual order-level data via their API. This includes any adjustments, discounts, or actual costs associated with the transaction.

  3. How FiveX Handles This
FiveX makes requests to Amazon every 1–2 hours to retrieve the latest data. As soon as Amazon updates the order with actual values, FiveX incorporates this updated information automatically.

Because of this delay, your profit figures may appear inaccurate for recent orders. If you’re trying to validate the true profit, we recommend checking orders that are at least 7–10 days old, as these are more likely to reflect finalised data.
