Shipping Costs FiveX - Step by step guide
Shipping Costs FiveX - Step by step guide
Updated over a week ago

After or at the same time of adding purchasing costs, it's essential to include accurate shipping costs. Here’s how:

Components of Shipping Costs

Shipping costs include:

  1. Shipment Costs - carrier costs for shipping

  2. Pick and Pack Costs - costs for collecting and packing the product

Most sellers import both into the system.

Automatically Synchronized Shipping Costs

FiveX automatically syncs costs for:

  • Lvb (Logistiek by bol.com)

  • FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon)

  • FBK (Fulfillment by Kaufland)

These costs are fetched directly from the marketplaces. No manual input is needed.

If ChannelDock is connected to FiveX, shipping costs will be imported from ChannelDock if specified in the shipping rules.

Importing Other Shipping Costs

Other shipping costs need to be added manually, similar to purchasing costs.

Import Process in bulk

  1. Download Template: Use the provided link to access the FiveX page and download the template with prefilled EANs.

Enter Costs: Fill in the purchase, shipping, and pick and pack costs in the template (see screenshot for an example).

Make sure to select the correct timeframe in step 2. This is set to 1 day by default, but we advise setting it back at least three months so that all historical orders are adjusted.

Step 3: Add and import the completed document (see the screenshot below). Shipping costs need to be added per sales channel since they can vary. For example, if you have 7 different sales channels, you need to import the shipping costs 7 times, once for each channel.

Do you already have an Excel file with the purchase costs broken down by EAN? Then add it directly to the system.

Note:

  • Make sure there are no (€) symbols in the field.

  • Ensure there are only periods (.) in the Excel and no commas (,).

  • Make sure there is a (') before the EAN; otherwise, EANs that start with 0 will not be imported correctly.

Import shipping costs per product and sales channel in FiveX

You can also import shipping costs per product in FiveX.

  1. Go to Products and select the product.

  2. Click on Adjust Calculation and enter the shipping and pick & pack costs.

  3. The information will be saved automatically.

Different Shipping Rules per Country? Use Cost Rules:

Do you have different shipping costs per country? For example, do Belgian or German customers buy your products on bol.com? In that case, you might want to use different shipping costs.

To set different shipping costs per country, use the Cost Rules feature. You can find this under the Settings tab.

By using cost rules, you can easily manage and apply different shipping costs based on the customer's location, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of shipping expenses.

When you click on "Add Shipping Costs Rules," you can create specific rules for different shipping scenarios. For example, we've set up the following rule:

  1. For shipments within our home country (the Netherlands), the default shipping cost is €4.50.

  2. However, if the shipment originates from Germany, the system will use €6.30 as the shipping cost instead of the default €4.50.

This rule allows you to automatically apply different shipping costs based on the origin of the shipment, ensuring accurate pricing for deliveries from different locations.
