How to navigate to the Media Manager

Navigate to the Media Manager by selecting "Media" from the navigation sidebar

Toggle between media types

On the left, you can choose between Image / PDF type of files you want to upload

  • Flamelink supports all types of files

  • Images include image type files: jpeg, png, tiff, gif etc

  • Files include document type files: docx, pdf, etc

  • You only have one standard folder structure for images and files, it doesn't matter if you toggle between the two.

Customize your folder structure

You have the ability to create, rename, delete, and sort folders.

Create a folder

Note: If you do not create new folders, your files will be stored in the Root folder.

Right-click on the folder panel (the area where the root folder is positioned)

Select "New folder"
Enter the name of your new folder
Select hard enter or click anywhere else on the screen

Rename a folder
Right-click on the folder you would like to rename
Select "Rename"
Enter the name of your folder

Select hard enter or click anywhere else on the screen

Delete a folder
NOTE: Selecting this option will remove the folder, as well as all images/files within the folder. Make sure you want to remove these files permanently before selecting this option.

Right-click on the folder you would like to delete
Select "Delete"

Sort/order your folders

Simply select a folder and then drag and drop it in the relevant place.
NOTE: The Root folder is fixed. It cannot be renamed or deleted.

How to upload files/assets

First, select the folder on the left-hand side of the screen where you would like to store your file. If you do not select a folder or do not have any additional folders, your files will be stored in the Root folder.

Then, either drag and drop single/multiple files into the grey box on the right-hand side of the screen or click the "Browse" button and select single/multiple files to upload.

Select the "Upload" button
Once the resize jobs have finished, a thumbnail of your file(s) will be displayed

NOTE: Currently renaming of assets, setting metadata, and moving files to folders are not yet available on Flamelink.

Toggle View preference

You have the ability to toggle between a list or grid view. By default, the list format will be applied.

To change your view preference, select the "grid" icon in the top right corner. Select it again to change back to list view.

How to delete files/assets

You can delete assets once they have been saved in your folder structure by clicking on the "context menu" (3 dots) and then selecting "Delete" from the dropdown.

Image Resizing

When uploading a file, Flamelink will automatically resize your file(s) to all of the image sizes defined in your Image Settings.

How to change the image resizing default options

Select "Settings" from the navigation sidebar and then select "General"
You will see a list of Image sizes at the bottom of the screen

  • Edit the Max Width, Max Height, and quality by clicking on the field and then making the necessary changes.

  • Delete an image size by clicking either the "X" button or the context menu (3 dots) and then selecting "Remove Row"

  • Add a new image size by clicking on the "+" button and then completing the fields

Click "Save" at the top right of the screen to save your changes.
