Flamelink currently allows for basic backups to be created for your project. Backups only include the content related to Flamelink and excludes all other data within your database. Furthermore, Flamelink backups do not include backing up of your Firebase Storage bucket (Media).

Creating a backup

You can follow these steps to create a backup once you have logged into your project.

1. Navigate to Settings and select "Backup and Restore"

2. Select "Backup" located at the top right

3. Select either "Generate & Download" if you would like to keep a copy on your device or "Generate Only" if you do not need to keep a local copy. (You can download a generated backup at a later stage should you need to)

Restoring a backup

Once a backup has been generated you can restore a backup in the following 2 ways.

1. Restore from generated backup

2. Restore from a file

Follow these steps to restore a backup from your backups list (Method 1)

1. Select the context menu for the item you would like to restore

2. Select "Restore Backup" and follow the onscreen options

Follow these steps to restore a backup from a file (Method 2)

1. Select "Restore from file"

2. Select to upload a file and follow the onscreen options
