The Designer role on Flameplace is built for interior designers, architecture studios, and freelance professionals who shape the creative vision and execution of interior projects. Whether working independently or as part of a larger team, designers play a central role in delivering tailored, functional, and inspiring environments.

Who Is This Role For?

This role is ideal for:

  • Interior design studios

  • Architecture bureaus

  • Independent interior designers and decorators

Designers can initiate projects, collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers, and curate the selection of products used throughout the space.

Role in the Project Workflow

Designers:

  • Start and manage design projects in Studio

  • Invite companies to collaborate on projects

  • Receive commercial documentation in the Office

  • Build partnerships with other market participants

If a Designer also manages product procurement (as many studios do), they can activate the Supplier role for their account. This unlocks the ability to request proformas directly from manufacturers and handle supply processes in-house. If the designer does not act as a supplier, they must delegate this function to external Suppliers, who complete the ordering and delivery workflows.

Visibility and Brand Alignment

When a Designer holds the status of Official Partner of a brand, and that brand’s product is added to a client’s project, the system will:

  • Automatically raise the Designer’s visibility in the recommended designers list

  • Suggest inviting this Designer into the project as a partner

The more brand partnerships a Designer has that match products in a client’s project, the stronger their position in the system’s recommendations becomes.

This ensures client–brand–designer alignment and creates more meaningful, brand-integrated design collaborations.

Tools and Capabilities

Designers have access to a focused yet powerful set of tools:

  • Studio – manage entire projects and collaboration

  • Office – commercial documentation processing

  • Portfolio – publish realized and conceptual projects

  • Community – share news, trends, insights, and inspiration

  • Messenger – stay in touch with clients, suppliers, and collaborators

Collaborate and Grow

Designers can:

  • Work solo or as part of a company team

  • Be invited to client or supplier-led projects

  • Build partnerships with brands and gain recognition

  • Boost visibility by publishing work and joining conversations in the community

💎 The Designer role empowers professionals to deliver their vision, connect with the right partners, and drive high-quality results — all within a structured, collaborative environment tailored to real industry workflows.
