💼 What are Stock Price Notes?
Price notes are an editable text field you can use to explain:
What is included in the listed price (e.g. packaging, finishes)
Whether discounts apply for bulk orders
Minimum order requirements or lot sizes
Any special promotional terms and conditions
Delivery expectations or origin of stock
These notes are visible to users who can see stock pricing — ensuring fewer misunderstandings during the ordering process.
📂 Adding Global Notes to Your Stock Inventory
You can add general stock notes for terms and delivery conditions using the Price Details button at the top of your Stock Editor.
Click the Price Details button in the top bar
Add general notes about your in-stock pricing
Optionally upload a supporting PDF with technical or legal information
Click Save
These global notes apply to your entire stock inventory and are accessible on every item page.
🔍 Contextual Stock Info at Item Level
Each item in your stock showcase can also contain price-related details that are shown alongside the price itself:
Materials
Dimensions
Notes
Clients will see this data when browsing your stock inventory and selecting items. You can also use the notes field to reinforce delivery expectations, offer specific timelines, or add clarification like:
"Packaging included. Available for dispatch within 10 business days. Delivery within 30 days from confirmation."
💬 Many manufacturers use internal codes to identify finishes and upholstery options. Price Notes are often used to decode those. For example, uploading an explanation of how to interpret finish codes — along with photos of finishes and textiles — helps clients clearly understand what they’re ordering.
🔒 Visibility of Notes and Legal Clarity
Price notes are only visible to users who have access to your stock prices. If prices are hidden for public access, the notes won’t be shown either. This ensures consistent messaging and avoids confusion.
For further legal protection, you may include:
Disclaimer language (e.g. "All prices are indicative and subject to change")
Currency and tax terms (e.g. "VAT included/excluded")
A well-documented pricing policy helps build trust and reduce back-and-forth with partners and clients.
