How do I import inventory from a CSV or spreadsheet?

Written by Shane Jordan

To import inventory, go to Tools > Import/Export, tap Import from CSV, select your file, and map your columns to Flippd fields.

Step-by-Step

import inventory csv

  1. Go to Tools > Import/Export

  2. Tap Import from CSV

  3. Select your CSV or spreadsheet file

  4. Map your columns to Flippd fields (title, cost, category, etc.)

  5. Review the import preview

  6. Tap Confirm Import

AI Column Mapping

Flippd's AI automatically tries to match your spreadsheet columns to the right fields. For example, it recognizes that "Purchase Price" maps to "Cost of Good." Review the mapping and adjust any that don't look right.

Good to Know

  • Supported file formats: CSV and common spreadsheet exports

  • You can import up to 5,000 items in a single import

  • Large imports may take a moment to process

  • Item status comes from your file: map a Status column and items import as Unlisted, Listed, or Sold -- the import preview shows a count of each. Rows without a status import as Unlisted.

  • You can edit imported items individually after import if anything needs fixing

  • Back up your spreadsheet before importing in case you need to re-do it
