To create storage locations, go to Storage Locations, tap +, give it a name and color, then assign items to it. You can also generate QR codes for quick scanning.
Creating a Storage Location
Go to Tools > Storage Locations
Tap + to create a new location
Enter a name (e.g., "Shelf A", "Closet 1", "Blue Bin")
Choose a color for easy visual identification
Optionally generate a QR code for the location
Tap Save
Viewing Storage Locations
The Storage screen offers two view modes:
List View -- Traditional list showing location name, color, and item count
Crate Grid View -- Visual grid showing locations as color-coded crates with item counts
Toggle between views using the list/grid icon at the top of the screen. Each location shows a count of how many items are stored there.
Assigning Items to Locations
When adding or editing an item, select a Storage Location from the dropdown. Tap any location to see all items stored there.
QR Codes for Storage
Print QR codes and attach them to shelves, bins, or containers:
Open a storage location
Tap the QR code icon
Print and attach to the physical location
Scan the QR code anytime to instantly see all items stored there.
Good to Know
Color-coded locations make it easy to identify items at a glance in both list and grid views
You can move items between locations using bulk edit
Storage statistics show how your inventory is distributed across locations
