How the Commission Summary Box Works: Salesperson vs. Admin View

Understand how the Commission Summary Box displays differently for admins and salespeople in Floorzap, and how to preview what each role sees.

The Commission Summary Box in Floorzap is designed to protect commission privacy β€” salespeople can only see their own commission details, while admins and managers have full visibility across all jobs. This behavior is controlled by the user's role and the Settings > User Permissions toggle.

What Admins See

Admins have full visibility into commission data across all jobs and salespeople.

  1. Log in with an admin role and navigate to the commissions page.

  2. Review the full breakdown showing invoice totals, customer balances, and commission balances for each job.

  3. Check the Action column to confirm payment status for each job. Values include Paid, Ready to Pay, and Pending Adjustments.

The admin view shows all jobs, line items, and payment details across your entire team:

What Salespeople See

Salespeople see only the jobs assigned to them. To preview a salesperson's view, use the View As option in Settings.

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Employees, find the sales rep you want to preview, and click View As to load their account.

  3. Navigate to the My Jobs page. The commissions section shows only the jobs assigned to that salesperson β€” not the full list.

  4. If the rep has no assigned jobs, no commission data will appear. For reps with assigned jobs, payment statuses display the same values as the admin view β€” Paid, Ready to Pay, or Pending Adjustments.

Here's what the salesperson's My Jobs page looks like with jobs assigned:

How Permissions Control Visibility

This behavior is controlled by the user's role and the Settings > User Permissions toggle. Admins always have full visibility into all jobs, line items, and payment details. Salespeople see only their own assigned jobs and commissions, keeping each user's view focused and their earnings private.
