Florence has guidelines in place for the control of coronavirus, and this process should now be followed.

Please follow the guidelines below if you experience symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Symptoms of COVID-19 are:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Raised temperature
  • Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

If you experience these symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you must inform your Florence account manager immediately

Please email your account manager directly, OR email our group email hello@florence.co.uk, OR call us on 020 3911 2555 to let us know.

Follow these steps if you experience symptoms during a shift:

  • Self isolate in a contained office space
  • Stay two metres away from others
  • Do not use communal areas
  • Call 111 for advice
  • Report illness to home manager immediately
  • Report illness to Florence immediately

What will happen next?

When you get in contact, we will discuss your situation and decide what is best to do for you, and the care homes and residents we support.

If you report to us that you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and is displaying symptoms, Florence will then take these steps:

  • Place your account under review, so you are unable to apply for shifts
  • Cancel any upcoming shifts until you are fully recovered and able to work again

This is to prevent the spread of infection.

Your account manager will keep in regular contact with you, and will offer support where possible.

When will I be taken off review?

Your account will be taken off review once you report to us that you have tested negative for COVID-19, OR you report to us that you have recovered and are considered to be fit to work.

If you have any questions at all, please call us on 020 3911 2555, email us on hello@florence.co.uk, or get in touch with your account manager directly.
