What are Flowpage Templates?

Flowpage Templates are a starting point to help inspire your page’s design and function. You can search through a library of Templates that are tailored to specific verticals and use cases. Additionally, Flowpage Templates can be leveraged by organizations and teams for use by their members to have better control over what elements are editable for Flowpages created from their templates.

What is a Flowpage Template with Propagational Changes? How does this functionality work and what is the value of it?

A Flowpage Template with Propagational Changes enables bulk editing of Flowpages created from a template. Specifically, changes and edits that are made to a Flowpage Template with Propagational Changes are automatically applied to the Flowpages that were created from the template. Think of the Flowpage Template as a “parent” and any Flowpage that is created from it as a “child.” When the “parent” is updated, any change will also be applied to the “child” pages. This functionality is powerful for editing the contents of Flowpages at scale and also maintaining consistency across an organization in terms of the content and design of Flowpages.

Can I convert any Flowpage into a Template?

Yes, as long as you are the owner or editor of a Flowpage, you can convert it into a template. Additionally, when converting a Flowpage into a template, you can can also choose to convert a copy of the Flowpage into a template rather than the original Flowpage. Using a copy of the original Flowpage is a good option if that Flowpage is actively being used as a post-scan experience.

Can I share a Flowpage Template with members or teams within my Organization?

Yes, just like other assets (i.e. Flowcodes and Flowpages), Flowpage Templates can be shared amongst your organization for collaboration. As long as you are the owner or editor of a Flowpage Template then you can share it with your entire organization, specific teams and/or members of your organization.

What are Starter Templates?

Starter Templates are Flowpage Templates that are tailored to specific verticals and/or use cases and are available based on your plan (Basic, Pro, Enterprise, etc.). These templates have been created by the Flowcode team based on real Flowpages that have been successful for our creators to drive conversions through a consumer-friendly experience.

What are Shared Templates?

Shared Templates are Flowpage Templates that were shared with you, your team or your organization for use when creating Flowpages. An admin or member of your organization is the owner of the Flowpage Template and needs to have shared the template in order for you to access it. If you create a Flowpage from a Shared Template, you will be the owner of that Flowpage and you will need to share that Flowpage like you normally would with your organization.

What are My Templates?

My Templates are Flowpage Templates that you are the owner of because you created the templates. Alternatively, the Flowpage Template could’ve been assigned directly to you by a member of the Flowcode team if we created a template for you to use.

Can I delete a Flowpage Template? What happens to Flowpages created from the Template if I delete it?

Yes, you can delete a Flowpage Template if you are the owner of that template. If you are deleting a Flowpage Template with Propagational Changes, you will have two deletion options: an option to delete just template itself and an option to delete the template as well as all pages created from the template. If you only delete the template, then pages created from the template will remain intact, however you will not be able to make bulk edits that apply to Flowpages created from the template once it has been deleted.
