Ballots cast for statewide, special, municipal and runoff elections may be viewed and filtered for voter lists in Data Center.  Vote history records are updated when new voter data are provided. Election types include:

  • General Election

  • Primary Election

  • Presidential Primary Election

  • Special Election

  • Municipal Election

  • Runoff Election

Nine ballot types may be cast for an election:

  • Voted (poll voter)

  • Voted Absentee

  • Republican Ballot (primaries only)

  • Absentee Republican Ballot (primaries only)

  • Democrat Ballot (primaries only)

  • Absentee Democrat Ballot (primaries only)

  • Early Vote

  • Republican Early Vote (primaries only)

  • Democrat Early Vote (primaries only)

The Election Name usually indicates if the election was held statewide or for a local jurisdiction or district. The Election Code indicates the election year and type, such as "VH16G" for the 2016 General election.

Use Vote History or combine with Voter Frequency scores to filter voters by ballots cast in specific elections and measure voter behavior for voter lists. Vote History records will only be populated for past elections; go to Voter Frequency > Absentees for absentee ballot and early vote counts for current elections.

Using Vote History in Exports (added April 2021)

Exported voter lists may be appended to include the vote status for one or more elections. In the Export Options page, click on the Vote History Fields selection box to add elections to your list. Each election will be appended to your voter list in a separate column using the Election Code, such as "VH20G" for the 2020 General.

Are you waiting for voter data for a specific election to be added to Data Center? We regularly receive new vote history when an election is certified and data are made available. Contact your data director to determine if new vote history records are now available for processing.
