Factory reset a LiftMaster MyQ Smart Garage Hub

Learn how to factory reset your LiftMaster MyQ Smart Garage Hub to troubleshoot issues and restore default settings easily.

To factory reset an 821LM, 821LMB, MyQ-G0301, or MyQ-G0401-ES:

  1. Press and hold gear/cogon the Wi-Fi Hub until the blue LED blinks, then release.

  2. While the blue LED is blinking, hold gear/cogon the Wi-Fi Hub again until the blue LED pauses, then blinks again. You will also hear a beep and see the yellow LED briefly blink.

  3. The Wi-Fi Hub is now restored to its' factory default settings.

To factory reset an 821LMC-S:

  1. Press and hold gear/cog on the Wi-Fi Hub until the blue LED blinks, then release. If the LED is already blinking blue, skip to step 2.

  2. While the blue LED is blinking, hold gear/cog on the Wi-Fi Hub again until the blue LED pauses, then blinks again. You may also hear a beep and see all of the LEDs briefly blink.

  3. The Wi-Fi Hub is now restored to its' factory default settings.
