New Client Workspace and Data Connections

How to create and set-up client in Fluent, covering the essentials you need to connect ad platforms, give additional context, and set up the workspace to begin building reports.

How to Set Up a New Client

  1. Create a new client

    • Go to Clients → ‘+ New client

    • Enter client name

  2. Connect Ad-Platforms

    • Select the relevant platforms

    • Login through your MCC when prompted and, input your Platform ID (I.e. Google Ads ID)

    • Select all relevant instances for that client (You can select as many as required)

    • Click ‘Save and Test’

    • Let Fluent go through the verification and ingestion process

    • Once successful, the ‘Client Connector’ will turn Orange when it is ingesting the data + Green once the data has been ingested

    • Repeat this process for each ad-platform you would like to connect

Warning: Sometimes the ingestion process may take up to a few hours for some platforms.

3. Share Client Context

  • [Optional] Input ‘Client Description’ of what the client does

  • Choose the Currency to report in

  • Select when the Client reporting week begins

  • [Optional] Share additional instructions with Fluent via the ‘Reporting Instructions’ box. This is additional information to inform Fluent of client context that lives outside of the data.

    • i.e. Awareness campaigns that should be always on, though they deliver no conversions

    • i.e. Specific Benchmarks or Targets for key metrics over the next quarter/year

    • i.e. Terminology or phrasing to use or avoid
