Step 1: Add a New Slide
Navigate to the slide after which you want to add a new slide.
Click the Plus (+) button that appears below it.
Choose your slide type: Cover Slide, Section Slide, or Content Slide.
Step 2: Add a Cover Slide or Section Slide
Select either Cover Slide or Section Slide.
Add a title or section title.
Optionally add a subheading.
These slides automatically reflect the theme already applied to the slide deck.
Step 3: Add a Content Slide
Select Content Slide from the slide type options.
A blank canvas will appear with an Add Element (+) button in the centre.
Click Add Element to view all available element types.
Step 4: Insert Elements Into a Content Slide
Choose the element you want to add:
Text
Chart
Table
Metric
Image
Callout
Once added, reposition the element by hovering over it and using the drag-and-drop handle in the top-left corner.
Resize the element using the bottom-left or bottom-right arrow handles.
To delete an element, click the trash / delete icon in the top-right corner.
To add more elements, use the Plus (+) Add Element button in the top-right of the slide editor.
Step 5: Add Data to Your Slide
Select the slide you want to attach data to by clicking it in the slide tray at the bottom.
A pop-up menu will appear. Click the Slide Data icon (stacked blocks, next to the magic wand).
Choose one of two options:
Add Data Query to build a new query from scratch.
Import Data Query to reuse a query from an existing Docs or Slides Report.
Select the query you want to use.
Click Save.
Step 6: Regenerate the Slide
After saving your data query, you can regenerate the content of the slide.
To regenerate with no additional instructions, click the Magic Wand icon.
To regenerate with custom guidance, click the Speech Bubble icon and enter your instructions.
Example instructions include:
What commentary to include
What charts to generate
What assets or visualisations to add
What elements to remove or update
Fluent will rebuild the slide based on your instructions and data.
Step 7: Continue Editing the Slide
After regeneration, you can continue to move, resize, add, or delete elements manually.
Repeat the regeneration or editing process as needed until the slide meets your requirements.
