FluoroFinder supports full spectrum cytometers from manufacturers like Cytek, Sony, Thermo Fisher and BD. Spectral cytometry is supported in several aspects of FluoroFinder's functionality, most notably in the Panel Builder, Spectral Viewer, and Training (for Academic and Industry Plus subscribers) features.

Spectral Cytometry Support in Panel Builder

FluoroFinder's Panel Builder integrates support for spectral cytometers automatically. When selecting a cytometer, selecting a spectral instrument configuration (e.g. Cytek Aurora, Sony ID7000, BD Discover S8, etc.) will enable spectral panel design.

In spectral mode, channel blocking is disabled, allowing selection of similar, but spectrally distinct, fluorophores.

Additionally, in spectral panel design, the Product selection and Summary pages will display an Enhanced Spectra Viewer, showing the full spectrum across multiple lasers. This is a fantastic way to keep an eye on spillover as you select fluorophores. Even with spectral unmixing, it is still a good idea to minimize spilllover whenever possible.

The Product selection and Summary pages will also display a Similarity Matrix Toggle allowing you to expand or collapse the a chart displaying color similarity data for all the fluorophores in your experiment

Spectral Cytometry Support in Spectra Viewer

FluoroFinder's Spectra Viewer integrates support for spectral cytometers. When landing on the Spectra Viewer page, ensure "Spectral Analyzer" is selected from the links at the top of the screen to enable "Spectral Analyzer" mode:

When in Spectral Analyzer mode, a user can select a spectral cytometer configuration from the "Instrument" dropdown list to visualize fluorophores in the context of that cytometers configuration.

With a cytometer selected, users can enter fluorophores, viewing the full spectrum of emission across multiple lasers/detectors.

In addition, FluoroFinder will provide a similarity matrix, and calculate a complexity index, for all entered fluorophores and the resulting panel:

Spectral Cytometry Support in Training (for Academic and Industry Plus subscribers)

Are you looking to get in to Spectral Cytometry, but have no idea where to begin? As a FluoroFinder Academic or Industry Plus subscriber, you gain access to Flow Cytometry Training modules that teach the concepts, theories, and practices behind Spectral Cytometry (as well as Conventional Cytometry and Cell Sorting).

Short videos outline key concepts in cytometry, and regular quizzes test the user on the application of this knowledge. Once a course is successfully completed, FluoroFinder generates a completion certificate to track your progress.
