How to Create & Publishing Your First Smart Page

Updated over a week ago

Start optimizing your listings in just a few clicks.

Smart Pages makes it easy to turn your existing product listings into fully optimized, data-driven product detail pages. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to activate your first Smart Page, review and edit the content, and publish it live to Amazon or Walmart.

Step 1: Activate a Smart Page

Before you can edit or publish content, you’ll need to activate Smart Pages for the products you want to optimize. Activating a Smart Page converts a standard product listing into a Smart Page, unlocking all of the AI optimization features, performance analytics, and content history tracking available in the tool.

Here’s how to activate:

  1. Go to the Text Content section in Smart Pages

  2. Select one or more products that you want to convert

  3. Click “Activate Smart Page” to begin the optimization process

You can activate listings one at a time or in bulk. Once activated, these listings will appear in your Text Optimization section, where you can review AI-generated content and prepare to publish.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Start with low-scoring listings. Use the Listing Score and other performance metrics to prioritize products that need the most improvement.

  • Smart Pages are channel-specific. If a product is listed on both Amazon and Walmart, you’ll need to activate each version separately.

Step 2: Review and Edit Content

Once a Smart Page is activated, Teikametrics begins generating content for your listing. This isn’t a generic rewrite — we use real ad performance and search data to understand which keywords matter most, and we tailor the content to your specific product and marketplace channel. That means your titles, bullets, and descriptions are written with both SEO and marketplace compliance in mind from the start.

After generation, you’ll see a side-by-side comparison between your current content and the new Smart Pages content, so you can clearly see what’s changing before anything is published.

At this stage, you can publish the content as-is — but like most AI-generated tools, a quick review can make the results even better. That’s where editing comes in.

Here’s how to review and customize your content:

  1. Click “Edit Content” to open the slide-over editor

  2. On the right, you’ll see editable content fields for title, bullet points, and description

  3. On the left, you’ll see the keywords we’ve integrated, ranked by impact

You can update the text manually, or select different keywords to explore new combinations. Clicking into a keyword gives you additional data behind why it was recommended — such as performance metrics and relevance — helping you make informed decisions about what to include.

Think of it as three levels of control:

  • Level 1: Review and publish — Quickly compare old vs. new and push content live if it looks good

  • Level 2: Edit text — Make any changes that better reflect how you want to position the product

  • Level 3: Customize keywords — Swap or remove keywords, and explore keyword-level data to fine-tune SEO impact

Our AI pulls in everything it can from your existing listings to generate optimized content — but you’re the expert on your product. This is your chance to make sure the language matches how you want customers to understand your product, and to call out anything unique or important that wasn’t captured in your original listings.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Use the comparison view to gut-check improvements. You’ll see exactly how the new content stacks up against what’s currently live.

  • You know your product best. Use this step to highlight key details, benefits, or selling points the AI may not have surfaced.

  • Explore keyword data. Clicking into any keyword shows you why it matters — perfect for dialing in your SEO strategy.

Step 3: Publish to the Channel

Once you’re satisfied with the content, the final step is to publish your Smart Page to your connected Amazon or Walmart account.

Here’s how to publish:

  1. Click “Publish” directly from the Text Optimization view

  2. Confirm the channel you’re pushing the content to (Amazon or Walmart)

  3. Once submitted, you’ll see the listing move into the “Analyze” tab for ongoing performance tracking

Publishing is instant — we send the content directly to the channel via API, and you’ll see a confirmation once the submission is successful.

From there, Smart Pages continues to monitor performance over time. You’ll be able to return to the dashboard to see how traffic, conversion rate, and overall sales are affected by the changes, and Smart Pages will surface new opportunities as keyword trends evolve.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Only publish when you're ready. Make sure you’ve reviewed all changes and are confident in the updates.

  • Submission confirmation ≠ live update. Some marketplaces (like Walmart) may take a short time to reflect changes after submission.

  • Track performance post-publish. Use the Dashboard and Analyze tab to see the impact of your changes.
