What is the Average Product Rank?

Product Rank shows where a brand's product listing appeared on the first page of search results for a particular search term over a given period of time. This refers to the page positioning, the lower the number, the higher the listing appeared on the page.

The average product rank is calculated by looking at all of the product positions, since rank will change for each search, and the number of times the product appeared.

What insights does Product Rank provide you?

The average product rank tab shows the percentage of times (% of appearances) a particular listing appeared on the first page of results and how that listing ranked for organic and paid placements.

Sort the columns to gain visibility on the organic and paid search ranking for your brand and products relative to your competitors. This can provide insights into areas of your business where you may be over/under-investing in ads.

Monitor changes in product positioning over time to understand the impact changes made to your advertising strategy have had on performance.
