Walmart 1P Supplier/DSV: How to Connect Ads & Product Data to Flywheel 2.0

A step-by-step guide on how to connect your Walmart Marketplace data to Flywheel 2.0

Updated over a week ago

1P Suppliers and/or DSVs can follow this guide for instructions on connecting Walmart advertising and product data to Flywheel 2.0. Establishing both of these connections is critical for success.

Step 1: Connecting Advertising Data:

  1. Go to the Sales channel page in Flywheel 2.0 and click Add merchant.

  2. Select Walmart on the pop-up.

  3. You should see the screen below, letting you know that Flywheel needs access to two different API's. One for Advertising data, the other to connect Products data.

Authorize Teikametrics as a Trusted Partner

4. Next, you'll need to authorize Teikametrics as a trusted partner. This will allow us to sync your advertising data, create campaigns, and make target optimizations for you.

Click on "Authorize on Walmart Advertising Center" as seen below, to be redirected.

5. In Walmart Ad Center, be sure to Sign in with Walmart.com (Not Sign in as Seller.)

This will take you to the Walmart Ad Center.

6. Scroll down to the API Partner - Advertiser level and click + Add Partner. In the API Partner name dropdown, select Teikametrics.

7. In the Access Type dropdown, select Write Access.

8. Next, click Add Partner to complete this step.

Note: (*For Managed Services Clients Only*): There is an additional permissions step required.

In Walmart Ad Center Admin View, please add the following users with Write Access at the Advertiser level:

If you need assistance with this step, click here and look under "Adding a User to Your Account." Once you've completed the above steps, you're now ready to return to Flywheel and add your Advertiser ID and your Supplier ID.

9. Check the box to confirm Teikametrics is authorized as a trusted partner with write permissions in my Walmart Ad Center account, and click Continue. You will then be prompted to enter your Advertiser ID and Supplier ID.

Step 2: Connecting Product Data

Under Add Products data, Select 1P Supplier and click Continue.

You'll need the below information to complete this step:

  • Supplier ID

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

  • Distributor IDs (only if DSV)

A Client ID and Client Secret must be generated in the Developer Portal to populate product data in Flywheel.

You will be redirected to the Developer Portal. Click “My Account” in the upper right corner and select “1P Suppliers (US)”.

Under Production Keys, you will find your Client ID and Client Secret as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Creating the API Keys

If there are no existing API keys, such as if you’re using the account for the first time, you will need to create this API key pair. This is a one-time event, typically completed when your or your company’s account, is first created. To create these keys:

  1. Sign in to Developer Portal

  2. Select My Account.

  3. Select the 1P Supplier.

  4. Enter your sign-in account with your email and password.

  5. Create the client ID and client secret values from the API keys page.

Distributor ID (DSV Only)

To find this, click on Settings > Warehouse Facility and locate your Distributor IDs under Distribution Facility

On the Sales Channel tab of your Flywheel 2.0 page, you can enter your Supplier ID, Client ID, Client Secret Key and Seller Type, and Distributor ID (for DSV only).

Click continue to save your credentials and congratulations! You've successfully connected your ads and product data. Click Close and Exit to start using Flywheel.
