How frequently the Flywheel Bidder changes bids depends on the sales channel, ad type, and action taken by the user:

  • After Bid Strategy Changes: When a user of Flywheel changes bid strategy parameters such as ACOS Target or min bid/max bid settings, bid changes will immediately be triggered. After calculation, the bid changes are then expected to be reflected in the channel within minutes.

  • Scheduled: The platform bidder also changes bids on a scheduled basis to pick up the latest changes in performance data processed from the sales channel. These batch runs are scheduled at:

    • Amazon: 4X per day at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00, and 20:00 UTC

    • Walmart: 1X per day at 21:30 UTC

  • Hourly Bid Changes for Amazon: Keywords and Targets in Amazon Sponsored Product, Sponsored Display, and Sponsored Brand campaigns get bids changes hourly thanks to Amazon’s AMS Streaming data.
