How to add new users to your account and controlling their permissions

Inviting new users to a space

When you have created your first space in Focal, you can add more members from your team by going to space settings and users. Note that you need to be a "Space owner" to have access to the settings page and to control the permissions of other users.

Under user settings, just add the emails of the people you want to invite and hit enter.

When you do, you will see an invite modal with a customizable message to the new users. You can also add multiple emails to the same invite in this modal.

When you invite new users to a space, you have a few additional options to choose from:

Space owners

Space owners can manage any settings of the space, as well as user permissions within that space.

Members

Members can access the asset library, collections and also see all public pages by default, but are not able to access space settings.

Guests

Inviting someone as a guest is best suited for external parties. Guests can only see the pages they are specifically added to, and won't have access to the asset library.

Invite as organization members

Organization members can freely join all other spaces in the organization.

Organization settings

Admin users in Focal can also access the organization settings (below space settings). From there, you can manage user permissions across all spaces in your account, and you can also control how members can sign in.
