External stakeholders in Creative Boards

An introduction to how to use Creative Boards to collaborate with creative agencies and other external stakeholders

Updated over a week ago

Creative Boards in Focal offer granular permission settings, which allows you to easily add external stakeholders like creative agencies and freelancers to your boards.

Click on "Share" in the top right corner to add more people to the board, and add their email to send out an invite. After adding their email, you can choose if you would like to invite them as a Space Member (they can access all public pages and the library) or as a guest (only to specific pages). The most common way to invite external stakeholders if to invite them as a guest, which means that they can only see the board that you invited them to, and nothing else in the space.

You can also choose between a few permission options, which is impacting what they can do on the Board they are invited to.

Full Access

Full access allows the users to modify anything on the board, from adding new columns and automations, to inviting new people to the Board.

Can Edit and Upload

This is the most common permission for external stakeholders, and allows them to upload new assets to the board, and also create new rows in the board and change their values, but prevents them from changing the overall structure of the board (for example making edits to columns or views)

Can Upload

This permission setting allows users to upload new assets to the board, as well as adding comments on existing assets and rows.

Can Comment

Allows users to view and comment on the content of the board and download assets, but prevents them from making any changes or uploading assets.

Can View

This permission setting allows users to view the content of the Board and download assets.
