Start conversation, not campaigns

With ‘Messages’ by folk, you can send out emails in bulk to an entire group (up to 5000 at a time), with each email personalized to the recipient. Use data stored in folk (e.g. first name, last name, job title, company, or any custom text field) for automatic customization, and review and tailor individual messages if you wish.

Send your first message from folk

Select the right target

  • Choose the group that you want to email

  • Click on "Message all" to reach out to the whole group. Or apply filters and then click "Message all" to reach out to a filtered view. Or select the contacts from the list to reach out to and then click "Message x contacts".

Create your message

A blank message will open as a draft. Here you can start editing your email.

  • Pick the right sender in the "From" section. Once your domain is authenticated, you can add multiple senders and then choose among the list of senders the right teammates to send your campaign from.

  • Add a subject.

  • To add custom variables to your email to personalize, use "/" or select the option in the toolbar. Custom variables are dynamic data such as first name, last name, job title, company, URLs or any custom text field

  • Add images in-line. You can drag & drop/upload images in your message, or use our handy integration with Unsplash to search thousands of beautiful free images.

  • Add attachments.

  • Add anyone in CC or/and BCC.

  • Create links in-line by highlighting the text to be linked and selecting the link icon in the toolbar, or directly pasting the link onto the highlighter text with CTRL+V.

  • You can save your draft as a template and re-use your templates for future communications, by clicking "Templates" on the bottom left.

  • Then you can manage your templates, in the Templates section (in Messages). More info here.

  • Click on "Review Messages" to review and edit each email individually.

  • In the list of recipients on the left, you can search for contacts and remove some if needed.

  • For each message, you can edit them manually to add a personal touch for example.

  • You can save and close your campaign to finish editing later. You'll find your saved campaign in the Messages section.

Send, analyze & track

  • Send your campaign.

  • Receive the replies in your Gmail account.

  • Get an overview of sent campaigns in Messages (including drafts, in review and sent). And for sent campaigns, you can open your campaign to get detailed analytics (delivered, opened, unopened, clicked, not clicked, bounced).

  • See the sent messages as an interaction logged on the contact's profile.

    • This interaction will be shared by default with all teammates

    • The interaction will display the name of the sender and a preview of the email content

    • It will automatically update the fields total & last interactions for the sender only

Follow-up in bulk

  • It's easy to perform follow-up actions after campaigns are sent. Simply go to your sent campaigns, select the contacts you would like to take action on, and select from the options in the toolbar. You can either message them or add them to a group in folk.

Send Messages from your own email address

See "How to authenticate my own domain on folk?" to send messages from your own email address.
