Why do some of your ingredients come from abroad, even though similar ingredients are available in Finland?

Our goal is to increase the availability of Finnish ingredients in our selection in the future. However, our top priority is to offer our customers the best possible food in organic quality.

If we cannot find the ingredient we need at a high organic standard in Finland, we source it from a trusted international supplier. Well-being and nutrient-rich food are essential for the future of humanity—healthy people who eat nourishing food contribute to the well-being of the entire planet. Limiting our selection to only Finnish ingredients would exclude many excellent, high-quality organic ingredients.

In organic farming, crop rotation is used to naturally control pests. Different root systems and plants enrich the soil, allowing it to capture nitrogen from the atmosphere, reducing greenhouse gases. Many plants are used as cover crops in organic farming to fix nitrogen into the soil, improving its fertility. In organic clay farming, all unused plant parts are returned to the soil, increasing the humus layer, which further enhances soil health and sustainability.
