If you've determined that Forage isn't a good fit for you, removing it is very easy.

All actions that Forage takes are reversible. Forage does not have the ability to make destructive actions such as deleting emails.

To disconnect Forage and delete your email data from our service

  1. Log in and visit Delete Account in your preferences.

  2. Click "Delete" next to Delete Your Account.

  3. Read the confirmation message to ensure you understand the changes that will be made. These are permanent and cannot be undone.

  4. Confirm the delete action by clicking "Delete now"

To return your inbox to how it was before Forage was installed

  1. Open your Gmail inbox

  2. Locate the labels that Forage added in the left sidebar. These will be the "Forage Mail" label and its sub-labels.

  3. In each label, move any emails back to your inbox (if desired).

  4. Delete the labels that you want to remove. This will remove the labels from the emails and it will not delete the emails. They will still be visible in "All Mail" and will continue to show up in search results.

If there's a specific way in which Forage did not match your expectations, we'd love to hear about it.

We're always looking for ways to improve the service. Feedback like this is very helpful in identifying ways we may be falling short.

Either way, we appreciate you giving Forage Mail a try!
