What does this feature do?

The graph displays information from a data table in the financial model using an easy to see and interpret graphical interface where the data is represented using either bars, lines, or a combination thereof.

Why should I care?

It’s often much simpler and quicker to communicate information when presenting (or browsing for yourself) when referencing the information represented as a graph than manually navigating each line item within the data table.

Where can I find it?

Graphs can be found on the dashboard page as well as each section within the assumptions page. Graphs on the dashboard page pull information from different areas across the assumptions page while the graphs on the assumptions page only describe the information in the data table located immediately below the graph.

How should I use it?

Use graphs as a quick, visual check to see if the data within the table is behaving as you would expect. For example, if a line is horizontal straight across the graph it means your values within your data table do not change and static behavior for a financial model likely means adjustments need to be made (since life and therefore business is rarely static). Graphs are also regularly used during presentations to create informative summaries of the data table and allow you to move quickly between sections of your financial model.
