What does this feature do?

Manual Edits allow you to account for one-off changes in a metric that do not otherwise interrupt the formulas you have in place. Using a manual edit will create a yellow highlighted cell within the data table.

Why should I care?

Manual edits are useful when inputting historical data into the financial model or when you want to accurately forecast changes in behavior that only affect a short period in time.

Where can I find it?

Manual edits can only be performed within data tables located on the assumptions page since this is where your inputs are.

How should I use it?

After fully expanding a line item using the “expansion” icon (shown as a plus symbol within a square to the left of a line item’s title/name) you can double-click any listed metric within the data table, enter a new value, and hit enter to finalize your manual edit.
