Are you looking to answer your student's questions, have them interact with each other, or just want to add value to your course or membership platform?

Through Forento you can create your own forum, designed the way you want to. Most of our customers use the community functions to interact with their students, post updates regarding courses, and host discussions - although there are several options for you as a creator when designing your community.

The community includes private messaging, posts, comments, and reactions. And by setting permissions, you can make it work the way you want to.

Go to community, click settings and chose between:

โ€‹Only read - if you don't want your students to make contributions to the community. This is the best option if you want to use the community as a place for essential course updates, or other announcements from you as a creator or anyone from your team.

React to posts: If you want your students to be able to make like or upvote your posts. This is the best option for you if you want your students to be able show their feelings or thoughts about different posts.

React to posts & comments: If you want your students to be able to react and comment on your posts. This also includes them being able to answer each other's comments, and talk to one another. This is the best option if you want your students to be able to interact with each other, but limit the actual posts to be from you and your admin team only.

React to posts, comment, and post: If you want your students to also be able to make posts of their own, where others can react and comment. This is the best option for your platform if you're looking to create a forum where your students can interact with each other and share value. Platform's with this option generally have better retention, and higher student satisfaction.

Ps. You can also add these permissions to different membership tiers when creating or editing a membership. This is a great incentive to give your students if you want them to sign up for a recurring membership with your platform.
