Instead of using the free subdomains provided by Forento you can buy or connect a custom domain to your platform. Doing this will replace the free, ("name.forento.app" & "name.forento.site") domains, with:
example.com for your Forento website
and app.example.com for your platform, where members would sign up, purchase, and access your products
Connecting a domain you already own
If you already own a domain through an external provider, you can connect it to your Forento platform via DNS (Domain Name System). If your domain provider offers a DNS Panel, you'll be able to set up records that direct/point the domain toward Forento.
To connect a domain you already own:
Click "Add new domain" and choose "I already have a domain"
Enter the domain name, and click "Add domain"
After doing this, you'll be shown a row of different DNS records. These records are to be created through your domain provider's DNS panel.
Access your DNS settings: Log into your domain provider dashboard or control panel and navigate to the DNS settings view
Enter the records according to how they are displayed on Forento
Note that the records need to be set up as they are displayed, meaning type, name, and value must be correct in order to function properly. You'll be asked to create a CNAME record for your Forento platform, and two A-records for your website (if enabled)

Buying a domain from Forento
If you want a new domain name for your platform, you can buy one from Forento that connects to your platform automatically.
By buying a domain from Forento, you won't need to set up any DNS records or pay for external domain hosting. It's hosted, managed, and billed through Forento, making getting a custom domain for your platform as easy as filling out a short form. To buy a domain:
Click "Add new domain" and choose "I want to register a new domain"
Search for a domain that fits your platform, for example, "marketing courses"
Doing this will show a list of available domain names.
Once you click "Select", you'll be brought to checkout where you'll be able to purchase the domain. Note that you must enter all information required in order to proceed to checkout. Owning a domain requires certain details to be submitted, and the purchase button will be unenabled if any required fields are left empty or incorrect.
A purchased domain from Forento can be used for external purposes via the built-in DNS panel. This means that you can create subdomains for external tools, custom email addresses, or other domain setups.
